The Story
purchased the Gaither House in 2013, initially intending to re-sell. When
Jones learned that the home had belonged to Jake Gaither, famed FAMU football coach from 1945-1969, Jones
personally restored the home and filled it with Gaither's trophies, photos, awards, and personal effects. Jones
and his family have cordially invited the Tallahassee Trust to celebrate the current preservation trends in the
historic areas around FAMU.
